OK, so Kevin Bacon and his brother Michael were the celebrity judges for the country category of the
John Lennon Song Contest that I entered a while back. Turns out they picked "Hurry Home" as the winner! For the record, Kevin's actual quote was, "It took me by surprise, it made me tear up at the end---everything a pop country song should be."
I automatically win some studio equipment and a gift certificate, but to win the next level prize I need
YOUR VOTES starting March 15th. If I get more votes than the other country category winner, I get $5,000 and 1,000 CDs which would be HUGE for me right now because the CD is almost ready and I'm totally out of cash. I'll send out a couple of e-mail reminders during the two week voting period. I really appreciate every little vote that anyone takes the time to make---this is by far the best way for you to help make my long-awaited CD possible!
Shoot, if I win I might even could treat all of my fans to a nice livermush and egg biscuit! I noticed this sign on the way back from North Carolina last week and....didn't try one. Peace,

Thanks Wes! I was amazed by the tale of the stupendous swelling Stacy and the Immovable Ring. Seems like that would be something generations gone before us might mention as something to watch out for. I certainly won't forget it anytime soon. :) Peace,
